Day 1: Arequipa – City Tour Welcome to Arequipa! A representative of Solidaire Inca Tour will await you and take you to the selected hotel. The rest of the morning will be free to get acclimated and spent at leisure. In the afternoon, we will visit the ‘White City’. We will start with the Cathedral and then stroll around the colonial houses, the Main Square and the Temple of San Francisco. We will also go up to the view point of Yanahuara to appreciate amazing scenery with the volcanoes surrounding the city. In the late afternoon, we will visit the Convent of Santa Catalina, which is considered to be an inner city. We will then return to our hotel to have dinner and retire for the night. Day 2: Colca Valley After breakfast, we will leave for our 2-day trip in the Colca Valley. On the way, we will visit the town of Yura, which is close to the volcano Chachani. We will also go through the National Reserve of Pampa Canahuas to observe its incredible fauna and flora as well as its archaeological ruins. Then, we will reach Chivay, where we will spend the night. We will enjoy a relaxing afternoon in its thermal baths before retiring for the night. Day 3: Condors flying over the Canyon After breakfast, we will head toward the famous ‘Cruz del Condor’ view point, the best place to appreciate the deepness of the Canyon and to spot majestic Condors flying. On the way back, we will visit the touristic sites of Tumbas Colgantes and Limomaquetas as well as the quaint towns of Pinchollo, Macay and Yanque. We will finally drive back to Chivay and head to Puno, where we will spend the night. Day 4: Titicaca Lake After breakfast, we will head to the pier to board a boat and enjoy a day-trip on the highest navigable lake in the world. Our first stop will be on the Uros Islands. Made from ‘Totora’, a kind of reed, these islands are completely artificial and float. Local people also use this plant to build their houses and elaborate art craft. Then, we will reach Taquile Island and meet some of its Andean communities. They will share with us their customs and way of living. We will finally return to our hotel in Puno for the night. Day 5: Puno – Cusco and Cusco City Tour After an early breakfast, we will go to the airport and take our flight to the city of Cusco. There, we will be transferred to our hotel and spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, we will visit the city center of Cuzco as well as its nearby archaeological ruins. We will start with the cathedral Koricancha, which is also known as the Temple of the God Sun. We will then head to Tambomachay – the Inca thermal baths - , Puca Pucara, the Kenko amphitheater and the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman. We will finally return to our hotel for the night. Day 6: Sacred Valley of the Incas After our breakfast, we will start our adventure through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. During the morning, we will visit the quaint towns of Pisac with its craft market, Calca, Yucay and Urubamba. In the afternoon, we will head toward Ollantaytambo. This Inca center was used for administrative and religious purposes in the Inca period. Then, we will go to Chinchero to meet a native community and discover its ancestral customs. We will finally come back to our hotel in Cusco for the night. Day 7: Machu Picchu After an early breakfast, we will take a train to Aguas Calientes, the ‘Machu Picchu Town’. A bus will then drive us up to ‘The Lost City of the Incas’, discovered in 1911 by Hirman Bingham and now known as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. We will enjoy a 2-hour guided visit to discover the secrets of the 3-Window Temple and the Sun Gate ‘Intihuatana’ before exploring this amazing site on our owns. We will then go down to Aguas Calientes at lunch time and return to Cusco in the afternoon. We will spend our last night in our hotel in Cusco. Day 1: Welcome to Lima, ‘City of the Kings’
Arrival at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima. Welcome to the “City of the Kings”, ancient nickname of Lima. Transfer to your housing.
In the afternoon, we will pick you up at your housing to start the city tour of Lima: Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor, Cathedral Basilica, Arzobispal Palace, Government Palace, Municipality of Lima as well as its outskirts.
Later, we will visit the Church and the Monastery of San Francisco where are the catacombs. Then, we will cover the residential area of Lima and the park of Love.
We will finally return to our housing for the night.

Day 2: Arequipa - City tour
In the morning, we will take a flight to Arequipa, also called the ‘White city’ due to the colour of the volcanic lava used to build many of its buildings. We will take you to the selected housing and have some refreshment. In the afternoon, we will visit the historic center of Arequipa, which has been declared Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. We will walk around the “Plaza de Armas”, one of the most beautiful squares of Peru, as well as the typical Cathedral of the XIX century. Then, we will continue with The Church of “La Campania”, an old Jesuit Temple and the Convent of Santa Catalina, considered to be an inner city. We will also have the opportunity to enjoy a one-hour horse ride through the city. Then, we will return to our housing for the night. |

Day 3: Colca Canyon In the morning, we will leave for our incredible journey of 4 hours to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world (3,400 meters). We will go through Pampa Cañahuas in the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, land of Andean vicunas and alpacas. We will also appreciate the amazing view on the pre-Columbian terraces, still cultivated by the natives, and learn more about their irrigation system. Arriving in the Colca Valley, we will be transferred to our housing. The rest of the evening will be free to get acclimated to the altitude. A relaxing time in the regional hot springs or a pleasant walk will be some of our options. Finally, we will return to our housing for the night. |

Day 4: Colca - Puno In the morning, we will continue our discovery of the Colca Valley. We will head toward the Mirador ‘Cruz Del Condor’ where we will be able to observe the majesty of the condor´s flight. On the way back, we will visit some typical villages of the region such as Pinchollo and Maca. After a lunch in Chivay, we will head to Puno, city located on the shore of the Titicaca Lake. Day 5: Titicaca Lake In the morning, we will head to the pier to reach the Uros Islands, also known as the Floating Islands. Indeed, these islands are built with reed and float on the Titicaca Lake. The local community will present us their ancestral customs and way of life.
Later, we will visit Taquile Island. There, we will spend some time with Quechua speaking communities and learn more about their daily life. We will have lunch on the island before returning to Puno in the late afternoon. Free evening and night in the hotel. |

Day 6: Puno – Cusco
Early in the morning, we will leave Puno for Cuzco. On the way, we will visit several typical villages of the region, such as Pukara and the town of La Raya. At lunch time, we will taste the regional specialities in a local restaurant.
Then, we will continue our journey discovering the villages of Rashi and Andahuaylillas. We will finally arrive at our final destination, Cusco, known as the Imperial City.

Day 7: Cusco City Tour We will start our visit of the city with the ‘Coricancha’, also called Temple of the Sun. We will continue walking around the ‘Plaza de Armas’, Cuzco central square, and the cathedral. Then, we will appreciate the nearby ruins going to the Sacsayhuman Fortress, Quenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay. Then, we will return to our housing for the night. |

Day 8: The Sacred Valley
In the morning, we will take the road through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the indigenous town of Pisac, where we will visit the temple.
After our lunch, we will visit the archeological complex of Ollantaytambo. Later, we will take a train to Aguas Calientes, the nearest town to Machu Picchu. We will have a nice dinner and enjoy a resting night sleep to make the most of our next day in Machu Picchu. |

Day 9: Machu Picchu
Early in the morning, we will take a bus that will carry us on a winding road to the Inca fortress of Machu Picchu, so that we might admire a sunrise on one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. This amazing lost ‘city of the Incas’ will offer us all its treasures of stone works and ornaments as well as its breathtaking wild landscapes. A professional guide will present us the secrets of the citadel and tell us about the Circular Tozer, the Intihuantana and the Three windows Temple. Then, we will go down to Aguas Calientes to have our lunch in one of the best restaurants of all Peru, El Indio Feliz. At the end of the afternoon, we will return to Cuzco. Night in our housing. |

Day 10: Lima – Gatronomic tour In the morning, we will directly head to Cuzco International Airport to take our flight back to Lima. We will make the most of our last day in Peru enjoying the gastronomy of the vibrant capital. First, we will visit one of the markets of the city to complete our discovery of Peruvian products, such as the 4 000 natural sorts of potatoes and the large variety of exotic fruits. We will continue our culinary adventure in one of the oldest restaurants in Lima, where the chief will propose us the typical Peruvian cuisine. He will even tell us some of his cooking secrets before we savoure the true Creole food from Peru. Finally, it is with great emotion that we will head towards the International Airport of Lima. |

Archaeological and Cultural 4x4 tour / 9 Days

Upon arrival at the International Airport of Lima (Jorge Chavez), a representative of Solidaire Inca Tour will be awaiting for you to take you to the selected hotel. After a short briefing about the travel plan, the usage of the 4x4 units and safety regulations, we will enjoy our first Peruvian meal and return to our hotel for the night. Day 2: Lima – Caral - Barranca We will have our breakfast before heading towards the oldest city in America, Caral. To reach the city, we will take the Panamerican North Highway. On the way, we will visit the sacred city of Bandurria. We will also discover the Fortress of Paramonga, archeological site belonging to the Chimu culture. Finally, we will take the road to Barranca, a small town that lives on trade, where we will spend the night. Day 3: Barranca – Sechin – Huaraz After our breakfast, we will leave to visit the archaeological complex of Sechin, one of the oldest and most impressive architectural monuments in Peru, as well as its museum. On the way, we will pass through the town of eternal sunshine Casma before reaching the city of Huaraz, located in the Cordillera Blanca. Day 4: Chavín de Huántar We will spend the full day in the Archaeological city of Chavín de Huántar. The western facade of the Temple will give us the opportunity to observe lithic art of the pre-Inca Chavín culture. This archaeological site was declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1985. We will also make a brief visit to the Museum before returning to Huaraz for the night. Day 5: Huaraz – Trujillo After our breakfast, we will head to the city of Trujillo by a special road to enjoy splendid views on the Pato Canyon. We will arrive in Trujillo n the late afternoon and we will be transferred to our hotel for the night. Day 6: Trujillo After an early breakfast, we will leave for the archaeological tour of Chan Chan, to visit the ‘Dragon and Emerald’. Then, we will head to the Tschudi Palace and the Museum Jose Casinelli, which shows a large collection of pre-hispanic vestiges. Finally, we will visit the Temples of the Sun and the Moon, before returning to our housing in Trujillo for the night. Day 7: Trujillo - Chiclayo After our breakfast, we will take the road to the city of Chiclayo. On the way, we will visit the Archaeological Museum El Brujo, which is one of the most ancient sites in the northern coast of Peru. This complex is a ceremonial center where we can observe the vestiges of 5,000 years of occupation. Then, we will continue through the colonial city of Zana and the Huaca Rajada Complex, an archaeological complex on the Moche Lords remains with two pyramids and many jewels. Finally, we will go to our housing in Chiclayo to spend the night. Day 8: Chiclayo After an early breakfast, we will leave our housing to visit the archaeological complex of Batan Grande, before heading to the National Museum of Sican Lord. Then, we will continue our cultural adventure to Lambayeque to visit the Pyramids, the Tucume Museum and the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum. Finally, we will return to our housing in Chiclayo for the night. Day 9: Chiclayo – Lima After our last breakfast, we will directly head to Lima International Airport. Upon arrival at the International Airport of Lima (Jorge Chavez), a representative of Solidaire Inca Tour will be awaiting for you to take you to the selected hotel. After a short briefing about the travel plan, the usage of the 4x4 units and safety regulations, we will enjoy our first Peruvian meal and return to our hotel for the night. Day 2: Lima – Paracas – Nazca Early in the morning, we will head to the town of Paracas in our 4x4 truck. We will arrive about 8.00 to go on a boat trip to the Ballestas Islands. We will have the great opportunity to observe Humboldt penguins and sea lions. Then, we will visit the Paracas National Reserve, a protected area which is home to many species of flora and fauna. Afterwards, we will continue our road to Ica, to visit the Oasis Huacachina, and finally head to Nazca. We will be transferred to our hotel to spend the night. Day 3: Nazca – Abancay We will have an early breakfast at the hotel before heading to the airport of Nazca. We will have the great opportunity to fly over the mysterious Nazca Lines. Then, we will take the road to Abancay. On our journey, we will visit Pampas Galeras, known as one of the principal Vicuna reservations in South America and the largest in the world. We will drive by Puqio and also the Yauriviru Lagoon at 4,400 m. We will also have the opportunity to visit the Inca Tambo of Tarawasi. Finally, we will arrive in Abancay to have dinner and spend the night in our hotel. Day 4: Abancay – Sacred Valley We will have a nice breakfast in the hotel before taking the road to Cusco. On the road, we will visit the famous circular carved stone of Saywite, which measures 2.5 metres high. Then, we will continue the journey through the Sacred Valley. In the evening, we will stop in the city of Urubamba to spend the night. Day 5: Sacred Valley We will have our breakfast in the hotel before leaving to continue our adventure through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the Fortress of Ollantaytambo, the famous market of Pisac, the town of Chincheros, the salt mines in Maras and the circular terraces of Moray. After these visits, we will return to Urubamba for the night. Day 6: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu - Cusco After our breakfast, we will be transferred to the train station of Ollantaytambo to reach the ‘Machu Picchu town’, Aguas Calientes. We will arrive early in Aguas Calientes and a bus will then drive us to Machu Picchu. We will have a 2-hour guided visit to learn the secrets of this amazing site. In the late afternoon, we will return to Aguas Calientes to take our train back to Ollantaytambo. Then, we will be transferred to our housing in Cusco to spend the night. Day 7: Cusco This day will be free and spent at leisure. The city center of Cuzco offers a great number of buildings, museums and streets to visit ans its surroundings are also full of archeological treasures. The night will be sped in our housing in Cusco. Day 8: Cusco – Lima After our last breakfast in Peru, we will directly head to the airport of Cusco, to have our connection in Lima International Airport. Day 1: Welcome to Lima, ‘City of the Kings’
Arrival at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima. Welcome to the “City of the Kings”, ancient nickname of Lima. Transfer to your housing.
In the afternoon, we will pick you up at your housing to start the city tour of Lima: Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor, Cathedral Basilica, Arzobispal Palace, Government Palace, Municipality of Lima as well as its outskirts.
Later, we will visit the Church and the Monastery of San Francisco where are the catacombs. Then, we will cover the residential area of Lima and the park of Love.
We will finally return to our housing for the night.

Day 2: Arequipa - City tour
In the morning, we will take a flight to Arequipa, also called the ‘White city’ due to the colour of the volcanic lava used to build many of its buildings. We will take you to the selected housing and have some refreshment. In the afternoon, we will visit the historic center of Arequipa, which has been declared Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. We will walk around the “Plaza de Armas”, one of the most beautiful squares of Peru, as well as the typical Cathedral of the XIX century. Then, we will continue with The Church of “La Campania”, an old Jesuit Temple and the Convent of Santa Catalina, considered to be an inner city. We will also have the opportunity to enjoy a one-hour horse ride through the city. Then, we will return to our housing for the night. |

Day 3: Colca Canyon In the morning, we will leave for our incredible journey of 4 hours to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world (3,400 meters). We will go through Pampa Cañahuas in the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, land of Andean vicunas and alpacas. We will also appreciate the amazing view on the pre-Columbian terraces, still cultivated by the natives, and learn more about their irrigation system. Arriving in the Colca Valley, we will be transferred to our housing. The rest of the evening will be free to get acclimated to the altitude. A relaxing time in the regional hot springs or a pleasant walk will be some of our options. Finally, we will return to our housing for the night. |

Day 4: Colca - Puno In the morning, we will continue our discovery of the Colca Valley. We will head toward the Mirador ‘Cruz Del Condor’ where we will be able to observe the majesty of the condor´s flight. On the way back, we will visit some typical villages of the region such as Pinchollo and Maca. After a lunch in Chivay, we will head to Puno, city located on the shore of the Titicaca Lake. Day 5: Titicaca Lake In the morning, we will head to the pier to reach the Uros Islands, also known as the Floating Islands. Indeed, these islands are built with reed and float on the Titicaca Lake. The local community will present us their ancestral customs and way of life.
Later, we will visit Taquile Island. There, we will spend some time with Quechua speaking communities and learn more about their daily life. We will have lunch on the island before returning to Puno in the late afternoon. Free evening and night in the hotel. |

Day 6: Puno – Cusco
Early in the morning, we will leave Puno for Cuzco. On the way, we will visit several typical villages of the region, such as Pukara and the town of La Raya. At lunch time, we will taste the regional specialities in a local restaurant.
Then, we will continue our journey discovering the villages of Rashi and Andahuaylillas. We will finally arrive at our final destination, Cusco, known as the Imperial City.

Day 7: Cusco City Tour We will start our visit of the city with the ‘Coricancha’, also called Temple of the Sun. We will continue walking around the ‘Plaza de Armas’, Cuzco central square, and the cathedral. Then, we will appreciate the nearby ruins going to the Sacsayhuman Fortress, Quenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay. Then, we will return to our housing for the night. |

Day 8: The Sacred Valley
In the morning, we will take the road through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the indigenous town of Pisac, where we will visit the temple.
After our lunch, we will visit the archeological complex of Ollantaytambo. Later, we will take a train to Aguas Calientes, the nearest town to Machu Picchu. We will have a nice dinner and enjoy a resting night sleep to make the most of our next day in Machu Picchu. |

Day 9: Machu Picchu
Early in the morning, we will take a bus that will carry us on a winding road to the Inca fortress of Machu Picchu, so that we might admire a sunrise on one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. This amazing lost ‘city of the Incas’ will offer us all its treasures of stone works and ornaments as well as its breathtaking wild landscapes. A professional guide will present us the secrets of the citadel and tell us about the Circular Tozer, the Intihuantana and the Three windows Temple. Then, we will go down to Aguas Calientes to have our lunch in one of the best restaurants of all Peru, El Indio Feliz. At the end of the afternoon, we will return to Cuzco. Night in our housing. |

Day 10: Lima – Gatronomic tour In the morning, we will directly head to Cuzco International Airport to take our flight back to Lima. We will make the most of our last day in Peru enjoying the gastronomy of the vibrant capital. First, we will visit one of the markets of the city to complete our discovery of Peruvian products, such as the 4 000 natural sorts of potatoes and the large variety of exotic fruits. We will continue our culinary adventure in one of the oldest restaurants in Lima, where the chief will propose us the typical Peruvian cuisine. He will even tell us some of his cooking secrets before we savoure the true Creole food from Peru. Finally, it is with great emotion that we will head towards the International Airport of Lima. |
