Day 1: Lima
Welcome to Peru!
Upon arrival at the International Airport of Lima, a representative of Solidaire Inca Tour will be awaiting for you to take you to the selected hotel.
After a short briefing about the travel plan, the usage of the 4x4 units and safety regulations, we will enjoy our first Peruvian meal and return to our hotel for the night.

Day 2: Lima – Ica We will have an early breakfast and leave the hotel at 6.00am for the city of Ica. On the way, we will visit the National Reserve of Paracas, a protected area where many bird species live. We will then continue our journey while enjoying the amazing landscapes and we will arrive in Ica in the early evening. After our dinner, we will retire for the night. |

Day 3: Ica – Nazca After our breakfast, we will visit the city center of Ica with its famous wine and Pisco bodegas. We will also be able to spend some time in the Regional Museum before enjoying a walk around the Oasis of Huacachina, in the middle of the desert.
We will then head to the city of Nazca. On the way, we will have stop in some interesting places to observe the Inca head in Palpa and climb the observation tower on the Panamericana highway to appreciate the Nazca Lines.
We will arrive in Nazca in the late afternoon. We will check-in at the hotel, have a nice dinner and retire for the night. |

Day 4: Nazca Exceptionally, we will recommend not to have breakfast in the morning as we will leave early to enjoy a flight over the Nazca Lines.
Afterwards, we will visit the archaeological complex of Cahuachi with a professional guide. This ceremonial center, located 28 km from Nazca, is said to be the largest sand and clay city in the world.
We will finally return to our hotel for the night. |

Day 5: Nazca – Abancay After an early breakfast, we will leave Nazca for Abancay.
On the way, we will visit Pampa Galeras known as one of the main vicuna reserves in South America and the largest in the world.
We will then drive by Pugio and to the Yauriviru Lagoon at 4,400 meters. We will also have the opportunity to visit the Inca Tambo of Tarawasi.
We will finally head to our hotel for the night. |

Day 6: Abancay – Sacred Valley After breakfast, we will take the road to Cusco.
We will visit the famous circular carved stone of Saywite, which measures 2.5 meters high.
We will continue our journey through the Sacred Valley and we will spend the night in Urubamba. |

Day 7: Sacred Valley We will enjoy a full day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will visit the Fortress of Ollantaytambo, the market of Pisac and its surroundings, the town of Chincheros, the salt mines of Maras and the circular terraces of Moray.
In the late afternoon, we will return to our hotel in Urubamba. |

Day 8: Machu Picchu
In the morning, we will be transferred to the train station in Ollantaytambo. There, we will take a panoramic train to reach Aguas Calientes. A bus will take us on a winding road up to Machu Picchu.
We will enjoy a 2-hour guided visit to learn the secrets of this amazing site and we will have some free time left to explore ‘The Lost City of the Incas’ on our owns.
In the late afternoon, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes and head back to Cusco to spend the night in our hotel. |

Day 9: Cusco – City Tour We will make the most of this day to visit the city of Cusco, ‘Center of the World’.
In the morning, we will go to the 4 main nearby ruins: Kenko, Pucapucara, Tambomachay and the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun called ‘Koricancha’ and the Main Square of the Imperial City.
We will finally spend a last night in Cuzco. |

Day 10: Cusco - Lima
After our breakfast, we will be transferred to the airport to board our flight back to Lima.
Once in Lima, the rest of the day will be free and spent at leisure. |

Day 11: Lima International Airport
After breakfast, we will be transferred directly to the Airport of Lima to board our international flight back.

This tour will show you an amazing and authentic Peru. Meeting the Andean people, sharing its ancestral culture and gastronomy, learning its indigenous customs and languages…this travel will make you know the realities of Peru while helping its people to maintain its culture. From the Andes to the Pacific Ocean and the rainforest, this tour will make you discover the best of Peru in a different way. Day 1: Arrival in Lima: Welcome to Peru Arrival at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima: Welcome to Lima! One of our managers will collect you at the airport and take you to the selected housing. The travel plan will be explained once again and detailed in the general outline. Dinner and night in the hotel. Day 2: Lima and its craftsmen In the morning, we will head towards Lurin, one of the districts of Lima in the South of Lima’s region. We will visit a community of craftsmen from the center of the Andes, who will share with us its customs and daily life. We will learn to weave and make the Ayacucho ceramics. Before enjoying our lunch, we will visit the families ‘kitchens and, if we feel like mucking in, we will have the opportunity to participate in the elaboration of typical meals from the center of Peru. We will also learn how to make the famous Pisco Sour, an alcoholic drink made with the typical Pisco from the South of Peru. After sharing our lunch with the Andean families, we will return to Lima. We will go back to our hotel for the night after a light dinner in one of the emblematic ‘picanteria’ of the area. Day 3: Paracas – Ica In the early hours, we will leave for the city of Paracas, where we will have the great opportunity to visit the Ballestas Islands and their incredible aquatic fauna with dolphins, penguins and various species of birds. This boat trip on the Pacific Ocean will be the perfect time to enjoy a natural birds’show and observe the architectural ingenuity of the local people. The Candelabro will indeed reveal all its beauty. This figure, drawn in the sand mountains skirting the Ocean, was probably designed as the famous Nazca lines. Back from our boat trip, we will take the road to the Paracas National Reserve, where the vast reddish desert will offer us a unique panorama with a view on the only red beach in the world. Back from the reserve, we will have our lunch in one of the best restaurants in the area to continue our great discovery of Peruvian gastronomy. Then, we will head towards the city of Ica and go first to our hotel to get some refreshment before horse-riding under the sunset. Return to the hotel for the night. Day 4: Discovery of Ica The sun of Ica will welcome us before our breakfast time. Then, we will ride our bike to visit our magnificent residence. We will take a breath of fresh air while going through the huge park. After our ride, the flora surrounding us no longer will have secrets for us. Just before our lunch, we will have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing massage for an hour. Then, we will make the most of our buffet lunch because there are always more typical Peruvian meals to discover. In the early afternoon, we will go to the city center of Ica to visit the factories of the well-known ‘Chocotejas’, chocolates with typical fruits and caramel spread filling. We will continue with the visit of ‘bodegas’ and we will taste the original beverage Pisco. In the middle of the evening, we will head towards Arequipa, also called ‘the white city’. Night in the bus. Day 5: Arequipa – city tour Arrival in Arequipa in the morning. After a resting break in our housing, we will have a typical breakfast and start our visit of the city. First, we will climb to the top of the Carmen Alto watchtower, where we will appreciate a breathtaking view on the countryside and the volcanoes surrounding the city. Then, we will have the possibility to go for a one-hour horse ride during the visit, in order to enjoy the landscape in a different way and calm atmosphere. We will walk around the ‘Plaza de Armas’, one of the most beautiful central squares of Peru, and we will see the Church of ‘La Campania’, an Old Jesuit Temple and the convent of Santa Catalina, considered to be an inner city. Return to the hotel for the night. Day 6: Colca Canyon – Meeting an Andean Community In the morning, we will take the road to the Colca Valley. We will have the opportunity to observe vicunas, alpacas, llamas as well as flamingos. We will appreciate the splendid view on the three volcanoes that rise up on the horizon: the Misti, the Chachani and the Ampato. We will cross a 4900-meter summit before going down into the Colca canyon to Chivay. We will arrive in the community about 1p.m. The families will show us their village, their houses and their craft center. In the late afternoon, they will offer us their traditional dances to share their customs with us. We will have our dinner with the families. Finally, we will spend the night in the community. Day 7: Experiencing a day with an Andean community We will wake up in the Quechua community. During this day, we will have the opportunity to enjoy various activities. We will start with a 4-kilometer walk to the Pre-Columbian tombs and a visit of the archeological center. We will have our lunch in the heart of the countryside before returning to the village walking or horse-riding. There, we will go to the craft center of the community and we will learn to elaborate a piece of work. As an extra activity, we will have the possibility to enjoy a 5-hour horse ride in the canyon, where we will go through various outstanding places as well as other villages full of the typical Andean charm. Before having our dinner, we will be able to take part in its elaboration with the help of the families who will pass their culinary skills and customs on to us. During the whole day, we will also enjoy Quechua lessons, one of the official languages of Peru and the one talked by all native Peruvian. Day 8: Colca Canyon – Puno We will leave the community very early to head towards the famous viewpoint of the ‘Cruz del Condor’. From there, we will be able to appreciate the majesty of the condor's flight, the world's largest flying bird. On the way back, we will visit some typical villages of the Canyon Valley. After a lunch in Chivay, we will head to Puno, city located on the shore of the Titicaca Lake. Reception in Puno and transfer to the selected housing. Day 9: Discovering the Titicaca Lake communities This day will give us the unique opportunity to admire the landscapes of the Titicaca Lake while sharing the customs and daily life of the communities living on the shore of the lake, far away from mass tourism. The families will welcome us in a traditional way and share with us their daily life. They will show us their ancestral way of fishing and farming in harmony with the environment. We will learn to cook according to their traditional customs and speak some words of the Aymara and Quechua languages. And we will also have the possibility to practice the ‘Titikayak’, friendly sport that will allow us to sail on the Titicaca Lake to enjoy the incredible panorama. Night in the community. Day 10: Experiencing the daily life of the Titicaca Lake communities After sharing our breakfast with the families, we will experience their daily life and take part in their traditional activities such as farming, fishing, selling products on the market, cooking or even teaching to the children. We will make the most of this last day with the community. Return to the housing in Puno for the night. Day 11: Puno – Cusco In the early morning, we will leave for the city of Cusco. On our way, we will visit several places such as Rachi, an incredible Inca sanctuary, as well as the Temple of Andahuaylillas, also called the South-American Sistine Chapel. We will stop in a local restaurant for our lunch. We will finally arrive in Cusco in the late afternoon. Night in the hotel. Day 12: Sacred Valley of the Incas We will start our visit of the Sacred Valley of the Incas with the towns of Pisac and Urubamba. At lunch time, we will have the opportunity to taste the delicious meals from this amazing valley. Then, we will head to Ollantaytambo, where stands a dramatic Inca stronghold on which the conquistadors lost an important battle. We will climb the steps up to the top where we will appreciate a splendid view on the Valley. In the late afternoon, we will take the train to Aguas Calientes, the nearest town to Machu Picchu. Ground transfer to the selected hotel. Day 13: Machu Picchu Very early in the morning, we will leave for the Machu Picchu. We will take a bus that will carry us on a winding road to the Inca fortress of Machu Picchu, so that we might admire a sunrise on one of the wonders of the Ancient World. This amazing lost ‘city of the Incas’ will offer us all its treasures of stone works and ornaments as well as its breathtaking wild landscapes. We will also have the possibility to climb up the Wayna Picchu, which is the Machu Picchu's neighbor mountain. Then, we will go down to Aguas Calientes to have our lunch in one of the best restaurants of all Peru, El Indio Feliz. At the end of the afternoon, we will go back to Ollantaytambo and head towards Chincheros, where we will share the Urpi community's everyday life. We will spend the night in the community. Day 14: The Urpi community After waking up in the community, we will have a typical Andean breakfast in Chincheros. We will then go to the local school to meet the children of the community. On that occasion, we could bring them some notebooks, pens, erasers, in other words some school material that could help. After this, we’ll return to the community to share a typical lunch based on Andean products such as potatoes. In the afternoon, the community will show us their work mainly based on typical weaving and they will explain to us the importance of their activity both in the Peruvian economy and tradition. We’ll have the opportunity to try the traditional Andean weaving after the demonstration. We’ll spend a second night in the community. Day 15: In the Andes with the Urpi community In the morning, we will go with the families to their agricultural lands to observe how they grow their products. If we feel like helping them, we will put our hands on and become both servant and protector to ‘Pacha Mama’, Mother Earth. We will come back to the community to share our last typical Andean lunch with the families. After, we will head to the lagoon where the rest of the community lives. We will enjoy a 3-hour walk through the mountains and the lagoons. Arriving on the other community place, we will be welcomed with some refreshments. We will take our last weaving lesson with the Urpi community. After the dinner, we will enjoy a bonfire party with traditional dances and enthusiastic Quechua songs. We will spend our last night in the Urpi community. Day 16: Return to Cusco We will wake up in the community and share our last breakfast with the families. We will say our farewells to the Urpi community and leave for Cusco, where we will arrive around lunch time. We will enjoy our last ‘Cusqueño’ meal. Then, we will have two options: either we can visit the city of Cusco and its ruins, such as the huge Sacsayhuaman fortress, or we can go horse-riding in the surroundings of Cusco. We will return to Cusco in the late afternoon. We will have the opportunity to enjoy an Inca relaxing massage before going to have our dinner in a typical ‘picanteria’. Finally, we will return to our housing for the night. Day 17: Cusco – Lima After our breakfast, we will directly head to Cuzco Airport to return to the city of Lima. Ground transfer to our housing. In the afternoon, we will visit the Andean Market where you will have a broad range of Peruvian handicrafts to buy your souvenirs. Then, we will spend a wonderful evening in a prestigious restaurant enjoying a buffet and an amazing show. Return to our housing for the night. Day 18: Lima After our breakfast, we will visit one of the markets of the city to complete our discovery of Peruvian products, such as the 4 000 natural sorts of potatoes and the large variety of exotic fruits. We will continue our culinary adventure in one of the oldest restaurants in Lima, where the chief will propose us the typical Peruvian cuisine. He will even tell us some of his cooking secrets before we savoure the true Creole food from Peru. Finally, it is with great emotion that we will head towards the International Airport of Lima. This sustainable tour will bring us to the famous sites of Peru while sharing the daily life of some communities in the South. Lima, the vibrant Peruvian capital, will offer us its surprising combination of relic of the past and modernity. Arequipa, ‘the White City’, and its famous Colca canyon will give us the unique opportunity to observe the Condors’flight. Then, the Aymaran and Quechua communities will make us discover the Pre-Columbian life, customs and gastronomy. With them, we will discover the authentic Andean world. Finally, the communities of Cusco will welcome us with open arms and the magic of Machu Picchu will fill us with wonder. For those who want to experience an authentic Peru… Day 1: Welcome to Lima Arrival at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima. Welcome to the “City of the Kings”, ancient nickname of Lima. A guide and a taxi from Solidaire Inca Tour will meet you and take you to the selected hotel. Then, we will taste our first Peruvian dinner before retiring for the night. Day 2: Lima – Arequipa In the early morning, we will take a flight to Arequipa, also called 'The White City' due to the color of the volcanic lava used to build many of its houses. We will be transferred to our housing to enjoy a typical breakfast. Afterwards, we will start our visit of the historic center of Arequipa, which has been declared Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. First, we will enjoy the amazing view from the Carmen Alto watchtower. We will walk around the 'Plaza de Armas', known as one of the most beautiful squares of Peru. Then, we will continue with the Church of La Campania, an old Jesuit Temple, and the Convent of Santa Catalina, considered to be an inner city. In the evening, we will enjoy an 'arequipeno' dinner before returning to our housing for the night. Day 3: Meeting a community in Colca In the morning, we will take the road to the Colca Valley. Day 5: Discovering the Titicaca Lake with the communities in Uros and Llachon This day will give us the unique opportunity to admire the landscapes of the Titicaca Lake while sharing the customs and daily life of the communities living on the shore of the lake, far away from mass tourism. In the morning, we will first head to the Uros Islands to discover how these surprising floating islands are built with ‘totora’, a kind of reed. Then, we will continue our adventure with another community living in Llachon. The families will welcome us in a traditional way and share with us their daily life. They will show us their ancestral way of fishing and farming in harmony with the environment. We will learn to cook according to their traditional customs. After our lunch, we will go for a walk to appreciate the incredible panorama on the Titicaca Lake from the Apukarrus watchtower. Finally, we will return to the community to spend the evening with the families. After a typical dinner, they will share with us their traditional dances and songs. We will spend the night in this community. Day 6: Meeting the Titicaca Lake communities in Amantani In the morning, we will share a last breakfast with the Llachon community before taking a boat to the Amantani Island. The families living on this island will welcome us and take us to their houses, to share with us their lunch. In the afternoon, we will go for a walk, up to the sites of Pacha Tata and Pacha Mama which are mystical places of the island. In the evening, after a traditional dinner, a party will be organized to make us discover their ancestral musics and dances and enter their world. We will spend the night in the families’ houses. Day 7: Experiencing the authentic Titicaca Lake with a community in Taquile After our breakfast, we will enjoy a new boat trip to the Island of Taquile, which remains very authentic. The local people are for instance still dressed in a traditional way. The Taquile Island is also the unique island of the Titicaca Lake where the inhabitants only speak Quechua. At lunch time, we will taste the great products of this island, which are mainly fishes, cereals such as quinoa and vegetables locally grown. Then, we will return to Puno to spend a relaxing evening in our housing. Day 8: Meeting with a community in Anapia In the morning, we will take the road to the region of Yunguyo, where a fluvial shutter will wait for us and bring us to the Anapia Island. After a two-hour walk, we will reach the main village and the local people will welcome us with its traditional dance. Afterwards, they will share their typical meal with us. The afternoon will be free to make the most of our time with the local families and to learn about this unique environment. We will spend the night in this community. Day 9: Puno - Chucuito After an early breakfast, we will go back to Yunguyo and take the road to Chucuito. On the way, we will stop in Pomata to to visit its church, and we will also have some refreshment in the towns of Juli, known as the little Roma of South America, and Acora, where we will observe the incredible fauna. When we will arrive in Chucuito, we will visit some sacred sites such as the archeological center of Inca Uyo and the solar clock. Then, we will drive back to Puno for dinner and we will spend the night in our housing. Day 10: Puno – Cusco Early in the morning, we will leave Puno for Cuzco. On the way, we will visit several typical villages of the region, such as Pukara and the town of La Raya. At lunch time, we will taste the regional specialities in a local restaurant. Then, we will continue our journey discovering the villages of Rashi, an incredible Inca sanctuary, and Andahuaylillas, which is known as the Sistine Chapel of South America. In the late afternoon, we will arrive at our final destination, Cusco 'the Imperial City'. We will be transferred to our housing for the night. Day 11: Learning to weave with the communities of Chari In the morning, we will head to the community of Chari, where we will meet the weavers called ‘Pallay Llqlla’. They will explain to us their traditional way of weaving. After a typical lunch based on the local products, we will enter the colonial church of Checacupe to observe its paintings dating from the XVIIth century. Afterwards, we will visit the archeological center of Piquillacta, located in the distrct of Lucre. There we will observe the incredible and very advanced way of building of the Huari culture. In the late afternoon, we will head to the Quiswarani community where we will spend the night and the next day. Day 12: An Andean day with the community Quiswarani We will wake up in the community, with the first sunbeams. We will have the possibililty to prepare the typical meals with the women of the community or, if we prefer, to hep the men in the agricultural fields. After our lunch, we will go for a walk in the forest of Puyas de Raimondi. An amazing Andean landscape will surround us with llamas and alpacas. Afterwards, we will have the great opportunity to relax in the thermal waters of Lares. In the late afternoon, we will return to our housing in Cusco to spend the night. Day 13: Sacred Valley After our breakfast, we will leave Cusco for our day trip in the ‘Sacred Valley of the Incas’. We will first visit the towns of Pisac and Urubamba with their temples and typical streets. Then, we will taste the delicious cuisine of this valley before taking the road to Ollantaytambo. There, we will visit the famous Inca fortress where the conquistadors lost one of the main battles. We will climb up to the top to appreciate the splendid view on the valley. In the late afternoon, we will take a train to Aguas Calientes, also known as the ‘Machu Picchu town’. We will have our dinner and retire to our hotel for the night. Day 14: Machu Picchu Early in the morning, we will take a bus that will carry us on a winding road to the Inca fortress of Machu Picchu, so that we might admire a sunrise on one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. This amazing 'Lost City of the Incas' will offer us all its treasures of stone works and ornaments as well as its breathtaking wild landscapes. A professional guide will present us the secrets of the citadel and tell us about the Circular Tower, the Intihuantana and the Three-window Temple. Then, we will go down to Aguas Calientes to have our lunch in one of the best restaurants of all Peru, El Indio Feliz. At the end of the afternoon, we will take our train back to Ollantaytambo and go to Chincheros, in the Urpi community. After a dinner shared with the families, we will retire for the night. Day 15: Meeting the Urpi community We will wake up early in the community, with the fresh air coming from the Andes. In the morning, we will visit a local college to meet the children of the community. If we feel like helping the community, we could bring them some educational material such as pens, notebooks, erasers. Then, we will share a typical Andean lunch with the families. In the afternoon, they will show us their work mainly based on typical weaving and they will explain to us the importance of their activity both in the Peruvian economy and tradition. We will have the opportunity to try this traditional Andean weaving after the demonstration. We will spend the night in the community. Day 16: In the Andes with the Urpi community We will make the most of this day to experience the daily life of the community. In the morning, we will go with the families to their agricultural lands to observe how they grow their products. If we feel like helping them, we will put our hands on and become both servant and protector to ‘Pacha Mama’, Mother Earth. We will come back to the community to share our last typical Andean lunch with the families. After, we will head to the lagoon where the rest of the community lives. We will enjoy a 3-hour walk through the mountains and the lagoons. Arriving on the other community place, we will be welcomed with some refreshments. We will take our last weaving lesson with the Urpi community. After the dinner, we will enjoy a bonfire party with traditional dances and enthusiastic Quechua songs. We will spend our last night in the Urpi community. Day 17: Cusco - Lima After our last breakfast with the families, we will directly head to Cuzco Airport to return to the city of Lima. In the afternoon, we will visit the Andean Market which offers a broad range of Peruvian handicrafts. Then, we will spend a wonderful evening in a prestigious restaurant enjoying a Peruvian buffet and an amazing show. Finally, we will return to our housing for the night. Day 18: Lurin – Lima Airport After our breakfast, we will head to Lurin, quiet town close by the ocean. There, we will meet a community of craftsmen who will show us their ceramics and help us to do our own work of art. They will also share their meal with us and offer us a last Pisco Sour, the famous Peruvian alcoholic drink. This tour will take us to the Andes and their magic for 24 days. We will discover the Andean customs, gastronomy and most of all, the Andean people. We will take a train through the mountains to reach the city of Huancayo, passing through the highest train station in the world. Our adventure will then lead us to Huancavelica, a city preserved from mass tourism where we will have the opportunity to discover ancestral traditions such as the Scissors Dance, declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Later, the province of Apurimac with its green valleys, lagoons and rivers will welcome us for some days and fill us with wonder. The ancient Inca capital, Cusco, will offer us all its treasures as well as the spectacular Machu Picchu. We will make the most of our last days in Peru with a gastronomic tour and a visit in a community of weavers in Lima’s region. Come and experience Peru in another way… Day 1: Lima – Gastronomic Tour Arrival at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima: Welcome to Lima! One of our managers will collect you at the airport and take you to the selected housing. The travel plan will be explained once again and detailed in the general outline. At lunch time, we will leave for one of the markets of the city. Our guide will explain to us the origin of the exotic fruits and local vegetables that we do not know. Then, we will go to one of the oldest restaurants in Lima, where the chef Aldo will present us 3 of the typical Peruvian meals. He will teach us how to prepare them and how important they are in the Peruvian daily life. Afterwards, we will have the possibility to taste these meals as a part of a buffet, or in a more exclusive atmosphere in a private room. After this glimpse of Peruvian gastronomy, we will go for a walk along the ‘malecon’, enjoying the view on the Pacific Ocean. After a light dinner, we will return to our housing for the night. Day 2: Lima – Huancayo In the early morning, we will head to the train station to reach the city of Huancayo. We will admire the incredible landscapes and quaint towns from the Train of the Andes. We will pass through San Bartolome and the station of Galera (4,781 meters). In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Huancayo and we will be transferred to our housing. Day 3: Huancayo – Discovery of the region We will wake up with the fresh air of the Andes. We will have our breakfast while enjoying the panorama of Huancayo. We will start the day with a visit of Hualhuas district, where we will see hand-crafted weavings made with alpaca wool. Then, we will continue to San Jeronimo de Tunan to observe the gold and silver handcrafts. Afterwards, the cooperative ‘El Mantaro’, in the province of Conception, will show us its dairy products. Once full of calcium, we will head to Jauja and the Paca Lagoon. We will take a small boat to reach the ‘Love Island’ and enjoy a panorama on the mountain called ‘El Indio durmiente’, the sleeping Indian. Then, we will taste a fabulous lunch in a trout farm before going to the Convent of Santa Rosa of Ocopa where we will experience a true flashback. In the late afternoon, we will return to Huancayo to have dinner and spend the night in our housing. Day 4: Huancayo – Archeological visits After the breakfast in our housing, we will visit the district of Huari where we will observe the archeological remains of Wari Wilca, sanctuary of the ‘Huancas’. We will also pass through the traditional villages of Huayucachi, Viques, Chupuro and Chongos Bajo, close to the Lagoon of Nahuinpuquio and the vestiges of Arhuaturo. At lunch time, we will meet a local chef who will present us 3 of the typical regional meals, such as the ‘Papa a la Huancaia’. In the late afternoon, we will return to Huancayo to our housing. Day 5: Huancayo – Huancavelica After a last breakfast in Huancayo, we will have a little walk in the city center to visit the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Park of ‘La identidad’ as well as the Cerrito de la Libertad Watchtower. Then, it will be time for us to take the road to Huancavelica, a city that has preserved all its Quechua traditions. We will be received by a community and taste the traditional cocktail. We will have dinner with the families and spend the night in their houses. Day 6: Huancavelica – City tour This day will be dedicated to the discovery of Huancavelica. In this city, there is a total of 8 colonial churches built between the XVI and the XVIIIth century. The paintings and the altars covered with gold are some of the reasons to visit these churches. We will continue with the Museum Daniel Hernandez where we will learn more about the history of the region thanks to the Pre-Columbian vestiges. The paintings will make us discover the culture of the earth, which is essential in Huancavelica. After a nice local lunch, we will visit the ecological park of Secsahaca with its famous geological formations of volcanic origins. Afterwards, we will enjoy a relaxing break in the Thermal Baths of San Cristobal. The green water of these baths is known to have curatives properties. Finally, we will enjoy a traditional dinner and return to our housing. Day 7: Huancavelica – Mirrors Lagoon During this day, we will drive on the Chonta Road, the highest road in Peru (4,855 meters). We will be able to appreciate splendid views of valleys, mountains and rivers. The Andean fauna will also come along with us: llamas, alpacas and vicunas will bring some life to these awe-inspiring views. On the way, we will pass through the Lagoon of Pultocc, a natural lake known as ‘The eye of Sea’. A boat trip will give us the unique opportunity to enjoy the serenity of this site. Also, the fishermen will talk to us about their way of living and working. Then, we will meet the community of Santa Ana, who lives in a quaint village. They will share with us their typical lunch. Indeed, the delicious trouts of the Lagoon of Pultocc will delight our taste-buds. Afterwards, we will meet the local craftsmen who will show us their work. Before returning to Huancavelica, we will discover the Lagoon of Choclococha, which represents an endless resource for the valleys of Ica. It will also give us the opportunity to observe various species of birds. On the way back to Huancavelica, an Authentic Andean landscape lighted up with the sunset will surround us. We will spend the night in our housing in Huancavelica. Day 8: Community of Sacsamarca In the morning, we will head to the community of Sacsamarca (3,876 meters). This village, with its stone houses and red-tile roofs, represents an architectural gem. Sacsamarca also presents an historical interest as it is the place where the Quechua slaves were forced by the Spanish to work in mercury mines. We will thus visit the mine of Santa Barbara, also known as ‘the Death Mine’. We will discover the importance for the regional economy as mercury as the raw material for the production of silver and gold. Then, we will visit the Church of Santa Barbara, vestige of the colonial period with its red pillars. We will climb up to the top of the watchtower to appreciate a unique view of the region. Finally, we will return to Huancavelica for the night. Day 9: Stone forest and Andean Community In the morning, we will take the road to the Sachapite Stone Forest to have a walk in this exceptional environment. We will try to see in the rocks shapes the Andean fauna and other imaginary animal. Afterwards, we will head towards the archeological site of Uchkus Incanan, with its majestic Inca door. This site was used as an astronomical observatory by the Incas. After a typical lunch, we will continue our Andean adventure visiting textile communities. The weavers will share with us their ancestral weaving techniques and tell us about their daily life. In the late afternoon, we will return to Day 10: Huancavelica – Ayacucho After a last breakfast in Huancavelica, we will take the road to Ayacucho, a lovely Andean city known for its 33 colonial churches and the diversity of its art craft. We will arrive in the late afternoon, enjoy a nice dinner and spend the night in our housing. Day 11: Ayacucho – City tour We will start this day with the visit of the most impressive churches of the city. We will continue with the Regional Museum Hipolito Unanue, where are presented the famous monoliths, ceramics of the Huari civilization. After a typical lunch, we will go to the historic center of San Juan de la Frontera de Huamanga, where we will visit the Cathedral, the Santo Domingo Temple and the Convent of Carmelitana de Santa Teresa. Then, we will return to our housing for the night. Day 12: Ayacucho – Wari – Quinua After our breakfast, we will head to the archeological site of Wari, considered as the capital of the First Andean Empire. We will visit the Museum of this site, to learn more about the canal and sewer systems. The Main Temple, the Royal Gravestone and Cheqowasi will also be on our way. Afterwards, we will continue our discoveries in the Historical Sanctuary of Pampa Quinua. We will have the opportunity to ride horses to visit this amazing site, or if we prefer, we could also walk to the Amaru Waterfall. We will end the day with the visit of an art craft center and its craftsmen. We will share the end of our afternoon with them, before returning to Ayacucho. We will spend the night in our housing in Ayacucho. Day 13: Ayacucho – Andahuaylas In the morning, we will leave for Andahuaylas, land of the Chankas in the region of Apurimac. We will go through the Altiplano and its incredible Andean panorama. The ‘Apus’, spirits of Mountain, will come along and protect us. On the way, we will stop in various villages such as Ocros, Chumbes, Santa Maria de Chicmo and Talavera to meet the native people of this region. We will arrive in the early evening in Andahuaylas. We will be transferred to our housing, where we will have dinner and retire for the night. Day 14: Andahuaylas – Pacucha We will wake up in Andahuaylas, with the nice smell of eucalyptus and pine trees. We will enjoy our breakfast in this relaxing environment. We will start our day with the visit of Pacucha, a little village known for the famous Lagoon of Pacucha (3,125 m). This is an ideal environment for trouts, carps and many species of fishes that we will have the opportunity to taste at lunch time. We will visit this site either walking or horse-riding. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a boat trip on the lagoon to feel the mystical atmosphere of this place. In the late afternoon, we will return to Andahuaylas and spend the night in our housing. Day 15: Andahuaylas – Sondor Archeological Center – Abancay After our breakfast, we will leave to visit the Archeological Center of Sondor. We will appreciate the ancient building techniques and climb to the top of the site to enjoy a breathtaking view on the Andean peaks and the cultivated fields. In the late afternoon, we will take the road to Abancay, in order to arrive at dinner time. Then, we will spend the night in our housing. Day 16: Abancay The town of Abancay, capital of the region of Apurimac, is located at the foot of the snowy mountain of Ampay. We will visit the town and its main buildings, typical of the colonial architecture, such as the Chapel del Senor de la Caida, the Cathedral, the Ocampo Park and the traditional reddish houses. Then, we will head to the North of the town to visit the National Sanctuary of Ampay, where the Archeological Center of Saywite is located. There, we will observe the vestiges of age-old civilizations. Finally, we will enjoy a soak in the thermal waters of Cconoc, which are known to relax muscles, before returning to Abancay in the late afternoon. We will spend the night in our housing in Abancay. Day 17: Abancay – Cusco In the morning, we will leave Abancay for Cusco. We will drive through the Andes and its typical villages to arrive in the late afternoon in Cusco, ancient Inca capital. We will be transferred to our housing to have dinner and retire for the night. Day 18: Cusco – City tour The morning will be free to rest from our adventure. After a typical lunch, we will start our visit of Cusco with the Coriancha, also called Temple of the Sun. We will continue walking around the Main Square, the Cathedral, the incredible Fortress of Sacsayhuman, Qenqo (which is a ceremonial and ritual centre), Puka Pukara (observation station on the Inca Road) and Tambomachay (ceremonial center). In the early evening, we will have our dinner while enjoying a dancing show before retiring for the night. Day 19: Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes After our breakfast, we will leave Cusco for our day trip in the ‘Sacred Valley of the Incas’. We will first visit the towns of Pisac and Urubamba with their temples and typical streets. Then, we will taste the delicious cuisine of this valley before taking the road to Ollantaytambo. There, we will visit the famous Inca fortress where the conquistadors lost one of the main battles. We will climb up to the top to appreciate the splendid view on the valley. In the late afternoon, we will take a train to Aguas Calientes, also known as the ‘Machu Picchu town’. We will have our dinner and retire to our hotel for the night. Day 1: Welcome to Lima
Arrival at the Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima. Welcome to the “City of the Kings”, ancient nickname of Lima. In the afternoon, we will pick you up at your housing to start the city tour of Lima. The programme will include: San Martin Square, 'Plaza de Armas', the Cathedral Basilica, the Arzobispal Palace, the Government Palace, the Municipality of Lima and its outskirts. Afterwards, we will visit the Church and the Monastery of San Francisco where are the catacombs. Then, we will cover the residential area of Lima and the park of Love. Finally, we will return to our housing for the night. |

Day 2: Ballestas Islands and Paracas National Reserve In the morning, we will head to the peninsula of Paracas in Ica province. We will enjoy a fabulous boat trip to the Ballestas Islands where we will see sea lions and many different species of birds. On our way, we can take a look and appreciate the 'Candelabro', a gigantic drawing of unknown origin tagged on a summit. Afterwards, we will visit The National Reserve of Paracas to observe the amazing fauna and flora. In the late afternoon, we will move to Nazca. We will have a light dinner in the bus and we will be transferred to our housing when we arrive at our destination. |

Day 3: Flight over the Nazca Lines Nazca arises from the harsh desert interior. The area was occupied 1,500 years ago by the Nazca civilization, their engineers were excellent and many of the aqueducts they built are still in used today. Nazca is also world famous for the geoglyphs (drawings) located in the Pampa San Jose, studied by the German mathematician Maria Reiche in the 1950s. The Nazca Lines can only be observed from the air. A hummingbird, a spider, a monkey, a pelican, a whale and even an astronaut are some of the mysterious drawings. We will go to the Nazca airport to board a plane that made a 30-minute flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines. In the afternoon, we will be transferred to the city of Arequipa. We will spend the night in the bus. |

Day 4: Arequipa - City tour Arequipa is called 'the White City' due to the white volcanic rock used to build the houses and temples in this city. The morning will be free to become acclimatized to the altitude. In the afternoon, we will visit The Historic Center of Arequipa, which has been declared Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO. We will walk around the “Plaza de Armas”, one of the most beautiful sqaures of Peru, the Church of “La Campania”, which is one of the main old Jesuit temples. Then, we will continue with the splendid convent of Santa Catalina, considered to be an inner city. It has been opened to the public only in 1970 after 400 years of closure. Then, we will enjoy a local dinner and return to our housing for the night. |

Day 5: Colca Canyon In the morning, we will leave for an incredible 4-hour journey to the Colca Canyon, also called “The Kingdom of Condors”. The Colca Canyon is the 2nd deepest in the world (3,400 meters). We will go through the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, habitat of vicuña and alpacas. We will also appreciate an amazing view on pre-Columbian terraces and their irrigation system. When we will arrive in the Colca Valley, we will have the possibility to go for a pleasant walk in the surroundings or to relax in he hot springs nearby. Then, we will spend the night in our housing. |

Day 6: Colca - Puno
In the morning, we will continue our adventure through the Colca Valley. First, we will go to the 'the Cruz Del Condor' Mirador to observe the majesty of the condor´s flight. On our way back, we will visit some typical villages of the region such as Pinchollo and Maca. After a lunch in Chivay, we will head to Puno, the city located on the shores of the Titicaca Lake. When we will arrive, we will be directly transfered to our housing for the night. |

Day 7 Excursion on the islands of the Titicaca Lake
In the morning, we will head to the pier to reach the Uros Islands, located in the highest navigable lake in the world, the Titicaca Lake. Made of 'totora', a kind of reed, these islands can float. That is the reason why they are also known as Floating Islands. We will continue to the Amantani Island. After a typical lunch with a native family, we will then walk up to the mystical sites of Pacha Tata and Pacha Mama. We will go back to the family accommodation in the middle of the afternoon. In the evening, after the dinner, a traditional party will be organized so that we can learn their dances and musics. Then, we will retire for the night. |

Day 8: Taquile Island In the morning, we will enjoy a new boat trip on the Titicaca Lake to go to the Island of Taquile. There we will have the opportunity to meet Quechua speaking communities who have preserved their traditional way of life, customs and clothes. We will have lunch on the island before returning to Puno in the afternoon. We will spend the night in our housing in Puno. |

Day 9: Puno - Cusco
In the early morning, we will leave Puno in a private bus to head to Cuzco. On our way, we will visit the village of Pukara and the town of La Raya, before enjoying a lunch in a local restaurant. Then, we will continue our journey visiting the villages of Rashi and Andahuaylillas. We will finally arrive at our final destination, Cusco, known as 'the center of the world'. We will be transfered to our housing for the night. |

Day 10: Cusco- City tour
We will start our visit of Cuzco with the Coricancha, also called Temple of the Sun. We will continue walking around the Main Square, the Cathedreal, the Fortress of Sacsayhuman, Qenqo (which is a ceremonial and ritual centre), Pukapukara (observation station in the Inca Route) and Tambomachay (ceremonial centre of water worship). In the late afternoon, we will return to our housing in Cusco. |

Day 11: Sacred Valley
After our breakfast, we will leave Cusco for our day trip in the ‘Sacred Valley of the Incas’. We will first visit the towns of Pisac and Urubamba with their temples and typical streets. Then, we will taste the delicious cuisine of this valley before taking the road to Ollantaytambo. There, we will visit the famous Inca fortress where the conquistadors lost one of the main battles. We will climb up to the top to appreciate the splendid view on the valley. In the late afternoon, we will take a train to Aguas Calientes, also known as the ‘Machu Picchu town’. We will have our dinner and retire to our hotel for the night. |
| Day 12: Machu Picchu Early in the morning, we will take a bus that will carry us on a winding road to the Inca fortress of Machu Picchu, so that we might admire a sunrise on one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. This amazing lost ‘city of the Incas’ will offer us all its treasures of stone works and ornaments as well as its breathtaking wild landscapes. A professional guide will present us the secrets of the citadel and tell us about the Circular Tozer, the Intihuantana and the Three windows Temple. Then, we will go down to Aguas Calientes to have our lunch in one of the best restaurants of all Peru, El Indio Feliz. At the end of the afternoon, we will go back to Ollantaytambo and head towards Chincheros, where we will share the Urpi community's everyday life. We will spend the night in the community. |

Day 13: Urpi community
After waking up in the Urpi community, we will go for a typical Andean breakfast in Chincheros. Then, we will visit the children of the community in the local college. If we feel like helping the community, we could bring them some educational material such as notebooks, pens, erasers, etc... Afterwards, we will return to the community to share a typical lunch based on Andean products such as potatoes. In the afternoon, the community will show us their work mainly based on typical weaving and they will explain to us the importance of their activity both in the Peruvian economy and tradition. We will have the opportunity to try the traditional Andean weaving after the demonstration. We will spend a second night in the Urpi community. |

Day 14: Cusco - Lima
After our breakfast, we will directly go to Cusco International Airport to return to Lima. We will have some free time in our housing to relax. In the afternoon, we will visit the Andean Market, in Miraflores, where you will have the opportunity to do your final purchases of Peruvian handicrafts. In the evening, we will go to a prestigious restaurant where we will enjoy a Peruvian buffet and a wonderful show. Then, we will retire in our housing for the last night in Lima. |

Day 15: Lima International Airport
After our breakfast, we will directly go to the International Airport of Lima. Tupa Nan Chiscama! = Bye and see you soon! End of our services. |
